The ECOBoost consortium, led by SEEA – South East Energy Agency (Ireland), has received European funding through the ECOBoost project to help micro and small enterprises (MSEs) become more energy-efficient and sustainable. The project focuses on supporting businesses, especially in the food and hospitality sectors. Through ECOBoost, the ECOBoost consortium will provide advice to help companies to reduce their energy use, lower costs, and work more sustainably.
A director at the ECOBoost consortium explains: “ECOBoost helps us support local businesses with practical and smart solutions. By working together in this European partnership, we can help entrepreneurs in North-West Europe to take the next step toward sustainability and a stronger future.”
Supporting small businesses
with practical solutions
ECOBoost is part of a European cooperation programme
in Northwest Europe. The ECOBoost consortium receives €4.9 million in funding.
The project runs until the end of 2028. It is an important step to bring
European knowledge and support to local businesses. “This funding is a direct
result of our joint efforts across borders,” the director adds.
Online platform
with advice and tools
ECOBoost includes an online platform that offers
personal energy advice, a toolkit with energy-saving solutions, technical
support, training, and business models. This gives MSEs the tools they need to
become more sustainable in a practical and accessible way. The start date for
the energy advice services will be announced later by the ECOBoost consortium.
