46 Companies selected for Energy Support in Phase 1

We have successfully closed the Phase 1 call. We are excited to announce that 46 companies will receive expert support to improve their energy use.

Strong Interest from the Food Sector

The call was open from early January to mid-March 2026. It targeted Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) in the food industry. This includes companies working in food manufacturing, retail, wholesale, and food services. To qualify, these companies could have a maximum of 50 employees and an annual turnover under €10 million.

Great Application Results

The response to the call was very positive. We received 59 applications in total from all pilot regions. The quality of the submissions was high, with an average score of 7.42 out of 10.

After a careful evaluation and validation process, 55 applications met all the rules and were declared eligible. From this group, 46 companies were officially selected for the pilot phase.

Next Steps: Hands-on Energy Support

Project partners will now start working directly with the 46 selected companies. The support program includes three steps. This support will consist, on the one hand of an assessment of current practices and the development of an action plan. In addition, the partners will assist companies in implementing this action plan.

This milestone is a great step forward for the EcoBoost project and a more sustainable food sector.
